Here is a rare find. In the fall of 1983, Donald Trump (the then new owner of the New Jersey Generals) claimed Don Shula wanted to coach his team so badly he was on the verge of signing. Funny thing is that it came as a surprise to Shula who quickly debunked Trumps claims and basically called him a liar.

Sportscaster Hank Goldberg from Channel 4 at the time reported on the story back in 1983 and aired video of Trump's bs claims with Shula's response.. Goldberg offered his own personal services to Trump as a joke. LOL
